Online Counseling & Teletherapy
Therapists and clients may turn to telehealth or teletherapy during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Second Stories Counseling can assist with your mental health during these challenging times by providing you with accessible, consistent and safe ways to obtain virtual mental health counseling services during the pandemic.
Second Stories Counseling offers the convenient option of HIPAA-compliant and secure online counseling and teletherapy services for Connecticut residents who face a number of internal or external barriers that make it difficult to access counseling services. Telehealth is not a good option for everyone, but it is for many. Prior or during our initial appointment, we ask a number of questions to not only better understand you and your needs, but to determine whether teletherapy is an appropriate and effective fit for you.
Through telehealth, you can have live counseling services via a secure online virtual sessions. We provide HIPAA-compliant and secure teletherapy sessions (a form of telemedicine and online video counseling) via Doxy.Me and Google Meet.
Prior to COVID, some insurance companies do not cover sessions that are not in-person; therefore out-of-pocket rates apply. During COVID times, many insurance companies are now covering teletherapy services for their members.
